BEST Christmas and Holiday Decor Store in the South!

I think it's safe to say that the holiday season, for many people, is the "most wonderful time of the year." Cue music.

Every year, in the name of Christmas tradition, I make at least one venture to Decorator's Warehouse in Arlington, Texas. With over 60,000 square feet of Christmas and holiday explosion, the inner child in you will jump for joy--or run with abandon through the aisles.

Decor

The very moment you enter, you're transported to the North Pole. Lights, music and the scent from my favorite candle, Orleans Creme Brulee, greet you at the door. You literally could spend hours strolling through this place.

The DW has made it easy for you, though (despite this, I still choose to spend hours roaming)! Delightful tree displays in cheery themes grace each aisle where they're surrounded by baskets of ornaments, ribbon and loads of matching decor. You'll find everything. EVERYTHING. you need to "Clark Griswold" your home--woodland styles with owls and small deer, mischevious red and green elves, classy gold and white with loads of sparkle, throwback neon lights and tinsel, and so much more!

*They even have Thanksgiving/Fall decor!

Trees/Lights

DW has over 100 styles of Christmas trees and is known for carrying the gorgeous, long-lasting Neuman Gold trees. *Sigh* Stepping into the tree section is truly cathartic. Tall trees, thick trees, flocked trees, soft glow lights, colorful twinkling lights...it really is Heaven. Plus, they carry amazing LED lights that are cordless, so much easier to wind around those tricky tree branches, AND you can step on them and they won't break! Worth every penny.

BONUS

This must be mentioned, it's the cherry on top. In the back of the DW sits The Rose Garden Tea Room. I've been frequenting this place since I was a teenager. My husband even goes with me from time to time which proves the magical effect this place has on you. The RGTR is adorned with plenty of lights, background music of birds (trust me, it's soothing), and the chatter of happy people calmed by the surrounding holiday decor. I always order the Rose Garden Variety plate, except for the few times that I go big or go home and need a large sampling of their quiche and soup of the day. Oh, the Rose Tea. Order it, you'll thank me! It's the perfect way to begin or end your DW adventure. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation, especially during the holiday season.

So, there you have it, folks! The best and largest Christmas store around. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!
