Andersen 200 Series Gliding Windows

Andersen

200 Series Gliding Windows

Gliding windows are ideal for high traffic areas. A sash slides horizontally providing top to bottom ventilation without obstructing walkways.

  • Made in USA
  • Energy Star certified to help you save energy
  • 45 years of Remodeling Excellence

200 Series gliding windows have a single sash that glides horizontally to allow for full top to bottom ventilation. Because the sash does not open outward they are an excellent choice for rooms that face walkways, porches or decks. Made of wood protected by a vinyl exterior, it's Andersen's value gliding window.

  • Only one sash glides horizontally for ventilation
  • Wood protected by vinyl exterior
  • Perma-Shield exteriors never need painting and won't peel, blister, flake or corrode.
  • Wood sash members treated with water-repellent preservative and Flexacron finish
  • Andersen's value wood gliding window
  • Standard sizes up to 6' wide and 5' high

Glass

Glass

  • SmartSun™ Glass

SmartSun™ glass gives you the benefits of Low-E glass, plus it helps shield your home from the sun's heat by filtering out harmful UV rays.

    Ideal for: All Climates

SmartSun™ with HeatLock Coating is also available on 400 Series windows. This prevents more heat from escaping your home but slightly reduces the visible light transmitted through the glass.

  • HeatLock® Technology

HeatLock® coating reflects heat that likes to escape your home through window glass. It can be added to most of Andersen's glass options.

  • Low-E4® Glass

Low-E4® Glass reflects heat in the summer and helps to retain interior heat in the winter.

    Ideal for: All Climates

Low-E4® with HeatLock Coating is also available on 400 Series windows. This improves the U-Factor performance of the window but slightly reduces how much light comes through the glass.

Decorative and Specialty Glass

  • Safety Glass
Tempered safety glass is available on all products, and comes standard on all patio doors.

    Sound-Reducing Glass
This glass helps reduce the volume of outside noise. Available with Low-E, SmartSun and HeatLock coatings.

    Patterned Glass
Let in light while obscuring vision and adding a unique decorative touch to your home.

Andersen decorative glass patterns: Cascade (seems like water running down a flat surface); Fern (fern leaf pattern); Obscure (bubbly/bumpy); Reed (vertical columns).

Screens
  • Insect Screens

Choose full insect screen or half insect screen. Half insect screen (pictured) allows ventilation without affecting the view through the upper sash. Frames are available in colors to match product exteriors.

Conventional insect screens have charcoal powder-coated aluminum screen mesh.

  • TruScene®

Exclusive Andersen TruScene® insect screens provide over 50% more clarity than our conventional insect screens for a beautiful unobstructed view. They allow more fresh air and sunlight in, while doing a better job of keeping out small insects.
