AuraLast® Pine

Jeld-Wen wood windows are 
manufactured with quality pine, a softwood, sourced from plantation forests. Their pine products are protected against rot, water saturation, and termites by AuraLast® - a water-based pressure treatment. 

Knotty Alder

This is a lightweight and low density wood. With its pronounced grain and uniform texture, knotty alder is a popular wood species for windows. A relatively straight grain, burl clusters and small knots add rustic character. Knotty Alder is available in shades from pale yellow to reddish brown and accepts stains beautifully. 

Vertical-Grain Douglas Fir

Slightly softer and lighter than other hardwoods, this option offers a smooth, straight and even grain. 

Reclaimed Douglas Fir

Sourced from old homes, fences, barns, and factories. Reclaimed Douglas fir is characterized by a naturally weathered appearance and its ability to give rooms a classic aesthetic. 

Mahogany

Often used for fine furniture and cabinetry, Mahogany is one of the most recognizable species. Available from reddish brows to deep, rich reds. This wood stains well, displaying its straight or interlocked grain and offers less expansion and contraction than other hardwoods. Because this species is open grained, it requires grain filler when finishing. 

Oak

Highly popular due to its durability and ease of staining. Oak features  dramatic grain patterns that vary from tight, vertical, or arched patterns. Color range spans from light straw to a light pink hue.

Walnut

Offered in clear or knotty. One of the more premium species, walnut is traditionally used in furniture and boatbuilding. Dense and fairly porous. Shades vary from rich dark brown to purple-toned black. Walnut features blonde sapwood streaks and typically has straight grain with the occasional curl or wave. Grain filler is required when finished. Available for clad exteriors only on the interior side of the window. 

Cherry

Recognizable by its darker tone which varies from rich red to reddish brown. Cherry features a fine, straight, close and smooth grain and is easily stained. Character marks such as gum pockets, pin knots and blonde sapwood streaks add distinction to this species. Cherry darkens over time when exposed to light. Available for clad exteriors only on the interior side of the window.

Block Frame

For New Construction and Replacement. Block frames are for windows with a frame that does not include a nail fin. This frame option allows for installation to be done quickly and neatly without disturbing exterior siding, stucco, interior trim, paint or wallpaper. Ideal for new construction installation into concrete or masonry walls. This frame has the same inside and outside dimensions.

Integral Nailing Fin

For New Construction and Replacement. Jeld-Wen windows come standard with a 1-1/4" pre-punched nailing fin for easy installation during new construction projects. The nailing fin is integral and surrounds the full perimeter of the frame. These features ensure weathertight installations. This option is best for homes with siding, stucco or brick exteriors.
