Andersen 100 Series Fibrex Casement Window Review Video

Welcome to Brennan Enterprises, your source for everything about replacement windows and doors. In this video, we'll be covering the Anderson 100 series casement window. So today, we'll be covering three parts; style, material, and color.

So let's start with style. This is the 100 series casement window. This is the exterior profile or the view you'd see when on the exterior of your home. This is the interior profile.

So we'll go ahead and start with the hardware. In order to unlock the casement window, you have a lever lock on the side of the window. And then to operate the window, you have a folding nesting rotator handle with a nifty little spinner handle here on the end to allow for ease of operation.

So to open it, you just crank it. Now then we can put this back down in the nested position. Now the window is fully open. So we'll go ahead and close it. Put the panel back in the nesting position, lock the lever. Now the window is fully closed and locked.

As for the material, the window is made out of a Fibrex material. It's a material that Anderson developed. It's a proprietary material made of a composite mixture of reclaimed wood fiber and PDC polymer. Anderson claims it's twice as strong as vinyl, and it won't flake, blister, or peel. So this material works in all climates. It's more expensive than vinyl or a little more expensive than vinyl, but a more affordable option than a wood, wood clad, or fiberglass product.

So finally, let's talk about color. The 100 series windows come in four interior color options and five exterior color options. One of the things that really sets this product apart is Anderson is one of the few vendors that does a black interior and exterior on this window. Most other vinyl window manufacturers or replacement window companies will offer a black exterior, but they do not offer a black interior. So if you're looking for a black interior, this will be your most affordable window option.

So there you have it. A quick overview of the Anderson 100 series casement window. We recommend it for homeowners that may be environmentally conscious or people that want that black interior, exterior look for the nice, clean, contemporary look.
