Andersen 100 Series Fibrex Single Hung Window Review Video

Welcome to Brennan Enterprises, your source for everything about replacement windows and doors. In this video, we'll be reviewing the Anderson 100 series single hung window. And today, we'll be covering three parts; style, material, and color.

So let's start with style. This is the single hung window. A single hung window has an operable sash that slides vertically. The next thing we'll talk about is the hardware. The 100 series come with what Anderson refers to as an auto lock. So when the window is closed, the lock [? app ?] automatically locks. This particular window has an optional upgrade lock which Anderson refers to as a metal slim line lock.

As for the material, the window is made out of Fibrex, which Anderson developed themselves. It's a proprietary composite material made of wood fiber and PDC polymer. Anderson claims it's twice as strong as vinyl, and it won't flake, blister, or peel. This material works in all climates. It's a little more expensive than vinyl but more affordable than wood or wood clad windows.

Finally, let's talk about color. The 100 series windows are available and four interior colors and five exterior colors. Anderson is actually one of the few window vendors that will do a black interior and exterior on their window. Most manufacturers don't offer this option on vinyl. If you're looking for a black interior window option on your windows, then this will be your most affordable option.

So there you have it. A quick overview of the Anderson 100 series window. We recommend it for homeowners or consumers that are interested in an environmentally friendly product or people that are interested in having a black interior on their window.
