ProVia Doors Review

Many groundbreaking events happened in 1977. Star Wars broke all box office records, The US space shuttle prototype 'Enterprise' flew for the first time, and Bill Mullet founded ProVia in a small garage in Sugarcreek, Ohio.

41 years later, Bill Mullet’s vision has grown into a 600+ strong team dedicated to growing as a company built on trust by keeping its promises and commitments. With a strong commitment to their customers, employees, and community, ProVia has set an organizational precedent for giving more and never less.

And they’ve kept true to that precedent. ProVia has become known as an industry leader in masterfully crafted windows, doors, siding, and stone. Brennan’s partnership with ProVia means that homeowners across North Texas have an opportunity to enjoy some of the best doors on the market.

We’re taking a look into what makes ProVia a unique company and exploring some of their residential door options. By the end of this article, you’ll see why ProVia’s earned their reputation for Professional-Class Products.

ProVia is a leading manufacturer of home entry doors. If you're looking for front doors for your home in the Dallas Metroplex area, contact us at Brennan Enterprises and we'll be happy to help.

Who is ProVia?

ProVia’s commitment to a higher standard

The very name of this company alludes to their core values. The name ProVia is a blend of “professional” and “via” (meaning way).

The Professional Way means ProVia holds themselves to a higher standard of integrity, accountability, and quality. One of the first glimpses into this company’s focus is the quote from Matthew 5:16, outlining work for the greater glory of God. ProVia’s work is an intense focus on producing Professional-Class Products, and serving in a way that reaches well beyond windows and doors.

Entry, Steel, and Storm Doors

The best of the best

We’re featuring five lines of ProVia entry, steel, and storm doors we carry at Brennan. Not only are these doors beautiful, but they’ve been recognized as some of the best of the best for energy efficiency. Since 2002, ProVia’s engineers have worked in lockstep with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and ENERGY STAR to ensure environmental responsibility in the products they produce. Harkening back to their founder's philosophy of giving more than expected, ProVia works hard to exceed Energy Star certified criteria. Learn more about some of their award-winning products below.

Embarq® Fiberglass Doors

ProVia challenged themselves to develop a new fiberglass entry door and it expanded into a complete philosophy of creating unrivaled efficiency in home building products. They’ve coined this new way of thinking “enVision”. The Embarq® series is their first creation using the enVision philosophy. With enVision, ProVia has created the most energy-efficient entry door system in the U.S. market manufactured by the only door company to win the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for Door Manufacturing (four times!). This innovative fiberglass entry door provides a U-factor of 0.09 - the lowest recorded heat conduction measurement for entry doors in the U.S.

So what makes this series so unique? Four key characteristics:

2.5” Thick Entry Door - 43% thicker than the average fiberglass door (from the standard 13⁄4" to 21⁄2"), the Embarq® series allows for more insulation.
The ProVia Embarq Door is 43% thicker than the average front door. This image highlights the thickness or depth of the door profile.

Dual Perimeter Seal - Seals on the door increase the energy efficiency by providing an additional barrier against air leaks around the perimeter of the door.

This image illustrates the ProVia Embarq Door's dual perimeter seal. The seal around the door helps combat air leaks and increase efficiency.

Custom Bottom Sweep - A thermal barrier to keep out the elements and high (or low) temperatures.

In this image ProVia highlight's their custom bottom sweep for Embarq doors. The bottom sweep is a thermal barrier that prevents outside elements from entering your home.

Insulation Channel - A larger energy efficient polyurethane core is placed in the side rails and the header. This feature maximizes your doors insulation power.

ProVia maximizes efficiency by adding an insulation channel to the side rails and header.

In addition to being highly energy-efficient, the Embarq® fiberglass entry door is durable and beautiful, available in 21 styles and feature four sidelite profiles.

The DuraFuse™ Stain Finishing System on this line means hand-applied finish formulated exclusively for the Embarq® line, a two-part UV protective coat, and the custom stains are oven cured twice for added durability.

If you’ve got specific dimensions for your entryway, ProVia is happy to provide custom sizes.

You can customize your ProVia Embarq® door by choosing a different style and finish for each side of the door. Doors are available in Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, and Knotty Alder finishes.

Signet® Fiberglass Doors

This series is notable for its accurate representation of real wood. ProVia boasts the Signet fiberglass door as far superior to traditional fiberglass doors. The hinge and strike stiles are a robust 25⁄8" and 41⁄4" respectively and are dovetailed to the top and bottom rails forming an integrated frame that is strong and durable. Additionally, ProVia’s developed technology to help guard against denting, splitting, cracking and warping.

Staining for this line is also completed using The DuraFuse™ Stain Finishing System. Your door will have added UV protection and twice oven cured staining to ensure its beauty lasts for years to come.

Stain options vary for ProVia Signet doors. The stains available depend on which wood grain series door you choose. Wood series are available in Mahogany, Cherry, Oak, Knotty Alder, and Fir. ProVia also offers a smooth door finish.

Heritage™ Fiberglass Doors

The Heritage line of fiberglass doors is another choice that combines the classic look of wood with ProVia’s fiberglass technology. These textured doors are constructed with a high-performance, composite material on the bottom rails. This offers excellent rot resistance. This feature paired with ProVia’s durable finishes and anti-warping, denting, and cracking craftsmanship ensures you’ll have a door holds up for the lifetime of your home. This line is also excellent for reducing energy loss due to the polyurethane cores of these entry doors.
