The sill has an extruded aluminum track, with a stainless steel cap that resists stain, rust and denting and an attractive wear-resistant, heat-baked finish in a neutral gray color.
The exterior frame is covered with rigid vinyl that maintains an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance. The wood frame is treated with a water-repellent preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
A flexible vinyl weatherstrip provides a positive seal between the frame and panels.

Patented square corner joints add considerable strength to the frame members. The insect screen is available in a conventional gliding or a premium top-hung gliding design. The conventional insect screen has bottom rollers with self-contained leveling adjusters. The premium top-hung insect screen has silicone-embedded glide hooks that hang from the top of the screen track, allowing it to glide smoothly and effortlessly. Alignment rollers on the bottom of the insect screen keep it in place on the track while the perimeter bug seal helps ensure insects stay on the outside. -
