Andersen's best-performing gliding patio door. This energy efficient gliding door is made of wood with a fiberglass exterior. The gliding system allows you to maximize your indoor and outdoor space.
A-Series doors are made with architectural authenticity in mind. This gliding patio door gives your home the old-world character of traditional French doors with the space-saving convenience you can't get from hinged-door systems.
Choose from multiple panel configurations and customize to your liking. A-Series doors also have options that make them ENERGY STAR certified throughout the U.S.
Protected by Andersen's Owner-2-Owner Limited Warranty
Frame constructed with a wood core and a fiberglass exterior. This construction produces a rigid frame and a low-maintenance, durable exterior. The wood frame is treated with a water-repellent preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
One-piece non-conductive fiberglass sill enhances energy performance, and its superior strength eliminates the need for sill support. Innovative sill design provides superior water management.
Dual ball-bearing rollers on door panels provide smooth gliding operation with self-contained leveling adjusters.
The multi-point locking system features a unique reachout design that pulls the door panel tightly closed for a weathertight seal and enhanced security.
A six-pin key cylinder lock is available in styles and finishes that coordinate with hardware and allows the door to be locked and unlocked from the exterior.
Provides an extra measure of security when the door is in a locked position. The lock can be set so the door is fully closed or partially open to provide a secure venting position.
Give your window an authentic look with grilles that are permanently applied to the interior and exterior of your window with an aluminum spacer between the glass.
Spacer Option for Greater Energy Efficiency
The Energy Spacer option is available to help A-Series products with full divided lights and SmartSun™ glass be ENERGY STAR® certified in the Northern climate zone. Its narrow design creates a 3mm gap around the spacer, helping to lower U-Factor values.
Simulated divided light offers permanent grilles on the exterior and and a choice of permanent or removable wood interior grilles, with no spacer between the glass.
Removable interior wood grilles are secured via a fastener or grille clip and can be removed enabling you to easily clean the glass surface.
Finelight™ grilles are suspended between the panes of glass, allowing you to easily clean both the inside and outside of your windows and doors.
SmartSun™ glass gives you the benefits of Low-E glass, plus it helps shield your home from the sun's heat by filtering out harmful UV rays.
Ideal for: All Climates
SmartSun™ with HeatLock Coating is available on A-Series products. This prevents more heat from escaping your home but slightly reduces the visible light transmitted through the glass.
Low-E Glass reflects heat in the summer and helps to retain interior heat in the winter.
Ideal for: All Climates
Low-E4® with HeatLock Coating is available on A-Series products. This improves the U-Factor performance of the window but slightly reduces how much light comes through the glass.
Sun glass has excellent thermal performance. This glass has a subtle tint that blocks out more heat from the sun.
Ideal for: Southern Climates
If you live in a cold climate, PassiveSun® glass allows the sun to heat your home.
Ideal for: Northern Climates
Triple-Pane Glass (with Low-E coatings on two surfaces) helps keep more heat in and cold air out, making this Andersen's most energy-efficient glass option. Perfect for colder climates where more months of the year are spent heating the home.
Ideal for: Northern Climates
Select Andersen® A-Series windows are recognized as Most Efficient of ENERGY STAR® in 2018. Specific glass options apply.
HeatLock® coating reflects heat that likes to escape your home through window glass. It can be added to most of Andersen's glass options.
Laminated glass is also available, for added strength, enhanced security and sound control.
This glass helps reduce the volume of outside noise. Available with Low-E, SmartSun and HeatLock coatings.
Let in light while obscuring vision and adding a unique decorative touch to your home.
Andersen® art glass is available in a wide variety of patterns adding uncommon elegance to any home style.
The four styles included in our Classic Series panels represent major architectural design themes from the late 1800's through the 1930's. Their symmetric patterns are available in distinctive color schemes as well as colorless glass, and their caming may be finished with a gold tone, silver tone or antique patina.
Two designs influenced by 20th century American and European architectural schools feature striking visual patterns that evoke an extraordinary blend of art and nature.
All insect screens have a long-lasting fiberglass screen mesh with a charcoal finish and are color matched to the exterior of the door unless otherwise specified.
Patented square corner joints add considerable strength to the frame members. The insect screen is available in a conventional gliding or a premium top-hung gliding design. The conventional insect screen has bottom rollers with self-contained leveling adjusters. The premium top-hung insect screen has silicone-embedded glide hooks that hang from the top of the screen track, allowing it to glide smoothly and effortlessly. Alignment rollers on the bottom of the insect screen keep it in place on the track while the perimeter bug seal helps ensure insects stay on the outside.
The retractable insect screen is installed on the exterior of the door and opens side-to-side across the width of the opening. When the insect screen is not in use, it neatly retracts into a small canister mounted on the exterior of the door. The retractable insect screen canister is available for two-panel patio doors. Please note, retractable insect screen track reduces clear opening height by 1".
Exterior trim adds a finishing touch to your windows or doors and is often essential in achieving authentic architectural style. You can match the color of your windows or doors, or complement them with a different color.
An oak or maple threshold is available for finishing the interior of the sill.
Allows for easy installation in replacement applications with a finished interior floor. This clip fastens to the subfloor and the sill snaps into the clip, providing a secured structural installation.
Andersen Frenchwood patio door sidelights and transoms feature elegant lines that match our A-Series patio doors.
With the most advanced technology in the industry, patented VeriLock® sensors not only indicate whether your windows and patio doors are open, they even tell you if they are locked or unlocked.* No other sensors can do that.
VeriLock® Sensor Colors
**Based on testing of (32) A-Series double-hung windows. Air loss through unlocked windows will vary based on window type and age, pressure differential, temperatures inside and outside the home, altitude and application.
When you want the peace of mind of knowing whether your windows and patio doors are open or closed, these sensors are a simple, reliable solution.
