Modern and contemporary homes deserve modern and contemporary windows. Milgard offers a stunning choice for your home. In this post, we’ll introduce you to Milgard’s Ultra Series windows.
Ultra series windows are strong, low-maintenance, and perform well in any climate. Milgard uses a pultrusion process to create their fiberglass window frame lineals. The process combines and catalyzes fibers of glass and resins to strengthen the lineals. Milgard regularly tests for quality and long-lasting performance.
Milgard Ultra windows are available in seven operation styles including some of the most common styles used in American homes.
Fiberglass windows make a great choice for homeowners who want energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and durable windows. Ultra windows are made from glass fibers which is also used in home insulation products making fiberglass windows an energy-efficient choice.
Ultra fiberglass windows don’t conduct heat or cold and they won’t expand or contract like window frames made from other materials. Without frame expansion and contraction, fiberglass windows are less likely to experience seal failure than other types of windows.
Additionally, Milgard is an ENERGY STAR® partner that offers glass packages specifically created to meet or exceed your local energy criteria so you can feel confident that Ultra windows are energy-efficient.
Define your home and style with Milgard’s Ultra fiberglass windows. Each window is custom built to order allowing you to mix and match styles and configurations.
Fiberglass lineals made by Milgard:
Ultra windows are available with white, harmony, bark, and black bean interiors. The white interior can be paired with white, harmony, bark, or black bean exteriors while harmony, bark, and black bean interiors have color matched exteriors.
Fiberglass frames have durable and energy-efficient attributes. To ensure your products meet ENERGY STAR® criteria work with an expert to choose the proper glass package. The benefit of working with Ultra frames is that you'll get the most out of your insulated glass unit. Seals on high performance glass eventually fail over time because of contraction and expansion in the frames. Fortunately, this isn’t a problem with Ultra windows because the frames and glass are essentially made of the same material.
There are two types of locking mechanisms available on Ultra windows. You can choose the standard Positive Action lock (pictured above in white) or a cam lock. Cam locks are found on many windows but don’t offer the easy of Positive Action locks. Both options look beautiful on the window and match the interior color of the frame.
